Who has not heard of the Traditional Thai Massage ?
The Thai massage are well known not only in Asia, but also popular in the West. There is no woman in the world who not loving the spas that and want to try a spa holiday, surrounded by relaxing and therapeutic traditional Thai massage.
This ancient form of healing has been documented for the first time by a wealthy Frenchman who in 1690 stayed at the royal court to Thai Ayuthaya and gave the following testimony: “…in Siam when someone gets sick, let her whole body be manipulated and moulded by an expert in this bizarre art…”
Unlike that practised in the West, the Thai massage is not intended to simple relaxation of the body, but is much broader, as it affects the palms of the hands, fingers, elbows, forearms, knees, feet and runs on specific points of the body. Pressures, therefore, muscle stretching, warm compresses with herbs that restores tone and well-being to the whole body: these are some of the practices associated with Thai massage. By finger pressure they stimulate energy channels, which allow the reactivation of the anatomical and functional systems of the body, and stress the immune system, producing relaxation and relieving pain. The goal is to restore physical harmony through the uniform redistribution of nervous energy of the body.
The origin of Thai massage
Thai massage, Thai language “Nual THAI PHAMBORAN”, is a method of massage that originally was practised only in the times of the Buddhist country: one of the most famous is the Wat Pho in Bangkok. Its origins seem to date back to the ancient Indian culture and tradition holds that the most skilled masseurs are blind teachers.
The traditional Thai massage differs in a number of other specializations, such as: the foot massage (foot massage, that Buddhist philosophy is the centre of balance of the entire body), aromatic massage with coconut oil or other species, etc.
Thai massage is a moment of pure relaxation and pleasure, in which the body benefits from its practice and it’s nice to fall asleep feeling the stress that gradually leaves the body.
